What is the Workshop all about?

Many web-based applications use HTML and CSS so knowing the basics opens up a world of possibilities with what you can do.

Not just on the traditional website setting either. Your online course platform, landing page tool, and even your email marketing application could be using these languages.

You don't need to be an expert to sprinkle a little code magic on your platform - but you need to know enough to do it safely and get the best results.

This workshop aims to help you do just that - teach you the basics so you can do big (or little) things with what you know.

What to expect inside:

The workshop is in 3 main parts. With one each you get a video, some exercises and a formatted transcript. Each lesson also has an area for comments so you can ask questions as you work through the material. I read all of them and aim to respond as soon as possible.

1 - HTML Basics
You'll learn the common building blocks of a web page and create a very simple one to showcase your knowledge
2 - CSS Basics
You'll learn how to style the page you've just created with common styling elements
3 - Understanding code in the wild
You'll learn how to read code and pick out the bits you need - especially when you Google code samples or are wondering how another website has done it
